This equipment has been designed to work at high capacity with high flow of product.
The TOMRA FPS uses near-infrared radiation multispectral sensors to observe the potatoes in movement. This makes it possible to get a clear view of the product with a high sorting efficiency. The sensors analyse the clods, the stones and the foreign objects.
The design of the equipment guarantees the soft handling of the product. The first level, or the good product, goes slowly through the machine, whereas the second level with the clods, the stones and the foreign objects is separated and removed by ejecting fingers.
